Governor Chris Christie has declared a state of emergency throughout the entire state as a result of severe weather conditions anticipated from Hurricane Sandy.

Homeowners are urged to secure loose items.  Residents in low lying areas should utilize the below links to prepare in the event evacuation becomes necessary.   All preparations should be completed by 4 PM Sunday afternoon. This is a major Hurricane and all persons are asked to complete preparations as soon as possible..

Residents are urged to monitor the Stafford Township Website and the Stafford Township Police Department Twitter account for continuous updates. We ask that you limit your phone calls to the police department to emergency calls only.

Stafford Township Public Works have announced that all garbage collection, bulk trash pickup and recycling collection are cancelled for Monday and Tuesday due to the storm.  Residents are asked to secure all receptacles so that they are not carried away by the flooding.
